Each piece is hand forged, so expect slight variation.
Carbon steel rewards a little care with a lifetime of use. Avoid soap after the first wash — hot water and a stiff brush or chainmail scrubber are usually enough to clean off cooked-on food. Dry your wok thoroughly and immediately after washing to prevent rust, then apply a very light coat of oil to protect the surface between uses. If your seasoning wears thin or rust spots appear, a simple oven re-season brings it right back.
Protect it between uses: Our handmade Skillet Seasoning Wax, made with beeswax from the hives on our farm and cold-pressed avocado and coconut oil, conditions carbon steel and keeps rust away in storage. Completely non-toxic, just like your cookware.

All metal cookware gets hot during use — including handles, lids, and utensils. Always use an oven mitt or towel when handling, keep hot cookware away from children, and allow it to cool before cleaning.
